Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using the Orbis platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Orbis.

2. Service Description

Orbis provides a news monitoring and news intelligence platform that aggregates, deduplicates, and analyses publicly available news content. The Service is provided on a subscription basis.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one account.

4. Subscription & Payment

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, as selected at the time of purchase.
  • All prices are displayed inclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store payment card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid period.

5. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers within the European Economic Area have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. To exercise this right, contact us at news@orbisx.ai with your account details. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal request.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Service or its content without written permission.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service beyond normal use.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is owned by Orbis and protected by intellectual property laws. News content displayed within the platform is sourced from publicly available publications and remains the property of the respective publishers.

8. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy. Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations and dispute resolution) will remain in effect.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark. For consumers within the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply where they provide greater protection.
